About Us

The Musician’s Loft is a community of musicians sharing half the old Pabst Blue Ribbon brewing building in downtown Los Angeles.

Our common facilities include the usual home amenities - kitchens, bathrooms, and dining areas - as well as complete recording studios, computers, televisions & internet access.. Some community-owned musical instruments and equipment are available.

  • We are a fully-appointed home with shared amenities and common areas, including utilities and internet, in addition to private rehearsal/sleeping spaces for each of our residents.

  • Our ages generally range from 20-60

  • We have 5 shared common areas, 6 shared baths, 4 kitchens, three recording studios, two with dedicated live rooms.

  • We are a place where musicians live and they can also practice, not the other way around.

  • Our residents are reliable musicians living in a vibrant community with like-minded-folks.

  • Although we have great facilites, our biggest amenity is our community of talented musicians. We encourage interaction and collaboration between our musicians.

  • Our facility is built specifically for musicians and their needs, and we’re proud to have a genuine industrial loft, and not an apartment/condo called a "loft".

The Brewery is Los Angeles' oldest and most famous Artists-In-Residence colony. Established in 1986. These are the only lofts in the colony which allow musicians, so space is limited.
